Jiuliqiao Fm
Type Locality and Naming
North-central Anhui. The Jiuliqiao Fm was named by Zhu Zhaoling et al. in 1964. The naming locality is situated in Jiuliqiao 9 km north of Shouxian City along the Shou-Feng Road and the typical section is the Diangeda section, Shouxian County, Anhui Province.

Lithology and Thickness
The Jiuliqiao Fm is a suite of pelitic limestone and it was subdivided into two parts. Lower part is dominated by gray to dark gray medium-to thin-bedded silty limestone. Upper part consists of gray to dark gray limestone and marl. With a persistent lithology, the formation is distributed in Huainan, Fengyang Mountain, where it is dominated by light gray thin-bedded marl and in Sishilichangshan of Huoqiu County, the dolomitic component increases and locally there is occurrence of dolomite. The thickness of the Jiuliqiao Formation varies from 26 to 119 m.

It rests conformably on the underlying Sishilichangshan Fm

It is conformably covered by the Sidingshan Fm

Fossils
It yields vermes: Paleolina sp., Sabellidites sp., Anhuiella sinensis, Huaiyuanella baiguashanensis, H. juliqiaoensis, H. striata, Pararenicola huaiyuanensis. Macroscopic fossil algae: Tawuia cf. dalensesis, Chuaria circularis, Shouhsienia shouhsienensis. Microplants: Trachysphaeridium simplex, Trematosphaeridium holtedahlii, T. minutum, Leiofusa bicornuta, Lophosphaeridium gibberosum, Stictosphaeridium implexum, Octaedrixium sp., Taeniatum simplex, Oscillatoriopsis sp., Bavlinella faveolata, Micrhystridium sp., Paleamorpha punctulata. Stromatolites: Jurusania cf. cyclindrica, Baicalia dentata, Inzeria anhuiensis etc.
